Wolf Run Cabin
The place
Primitive cabin with no electricity in the White Mountains National Recreation Area, interior Alaska (United States). Maximum capacity of 8 people (comfortable for 6). Amenities: wood stove, large panoramic window. Pets and campfires allowed. Check-in and check-out at 12 pm. Reached via a 22-mile hike from the Colorado Creek Trailhead along the Colorado Creek and Windy Creek trails from Fairbanks. Used mainly in winter (snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, wildlife and scenery viewing); ATVs prohibited from May 1 to October 14. The original cabin was destroyed by the 2005 wildfires and replaced with a larger structure in 2006.
