Rifugio Muratone

The place

Refuge at 1180 m in the Ligurian Alps, Toraggio-Pietravecchia area, near the Passo Muratone (municipality of Pigna, province of Imperia, Liguria, Italy). Managed by the municipality of Pigna. Capacity 21 beds in 4 rooms, accessible to people with disabilities. Access by car from Sella Gouta (1200 m) via a good unpaved track about 15 minutes long, with parking on site. A stop on the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri. Hiking route toward the southern slopes of Monte Toraggio (1600 m), 7.8 km round trip in about 3 hours.
