An eco-lodge in the Cuyo valley (a region famed for Malbec-Torrontés winemaking; the Cuyo Argentine winegrowing region is South America's leading producer, with 220,000 ha and an output of 100,000 hL/year), in an area of giant cardón cacti (Trichocereus atacamensis, 6-9 m) and the range of the jaguar (extinct from the region since 1980; only around 300 individuals remain in Argentina, in the Yungas of Salta-Jujuy), heritage of the Huarpes (a pre-Columbian people, effectively vanished after the 1550 conquest, their Millcayac language extinct since the early 1900s).
