The place

Private chalet at 1885 m in the Passy Nature Reserve (Haute-Savoie). No longer accessible to hikers: a padlock was placed on the front door following damage caused by inappropriate behaviour (door repeatedly left open, sheep getting in, droppings, unsanitary conditions). Not to be confused with the Abri de Villy (or du Col des Chaux) located higher up near the Col des Chaux.
