A primitive cabin with no electricity in the White Mountains National Recreation Area, interior Alaska (United States). Rustic lodging at the heart of a million-acre recreation area linked by more than 250 miles of groomed winter trails. Sleeps eight. Basic facilities; no indoor plumbing, no cell coverage. Pets and campfires allowed. Check-in and check-out at noon. Peak season is winter (snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding). Access from the Steese Highway, McKay Creek Trailhead (mile 42.5), then about 19.5 miles via the McKay Creek and Trail Creek trails. Booking required via recreation.gov.
