The place

Open hut at 1351 m in Couserans (Ariège), commune of Balacet, on the GR10E and the GRP Tour du Biros. Indoor equipment: table, bench, fireplace, sleeping platform also used as a bench. Upstairs: 2 old foam mattresses + some extra space. Nearby captured spring feeding buckets. A new house reserved for the shepherd has appeared near the hut. A useful waypoint for hikers exploring the Biros and surrounding peaks.
