The place
The Cabane du Clot du Lac (also known as Cabane du Bomboi) is an unstaffed shelter at 1821 m elevation in the Couserans massif (Ariège Pyrenees). Split into two sections: the east side is for sleeping only (little space, standing water in wet weather); the west side is spacious and equipped with a table, 2 benches, a sleeping platform with a large mattress, a stove and 4 mattresses upstairs. Access from the Ribérot valley from the east (GR10 from Pla de la Lau) or from the west (GR10 from the Pucelle car park).
