The flock of sheep is accompanied by a pack of 5 patou guard dogs, plus a pack of smaller dogs that guard the cabin — a warned hiker is worth two... Cabin located at the eastern foot of the Col d'Auarde. Pastoral cabin occupied during the summer grazing season by the shepherd of the large local sheep flock. Cabin closed outside the grazing period; an annex part of the cabin is used as a storeroom by the shepherd but may regain its "hiker" use in the future, according to the shepherd — to be confirmed...
