The place

Hut at about 1571 m in the Couserans (Ariège), at a trail junction between the Isard valley and the Sentein valley. Small hut used in summer by shepherds and open to hikers in winter: 5 people in summer (often 0 available if shepherds are present) and 5 in winter. Sleeping: 2 places upstairs and bunk beds in the main room. Fireplace, wood available, water nearby. A new hut has been built at the pass, with the old one remaining permanently open to hikers.
