Refuge Overhaul: Improvements and Modernisation In 2016, renovation works were carried out at the refuge to improve conditions for visitors. The fireplace, in poor condition and surrounded by wood, was replaced to ensure the safety of the premises. In addition, water points were installed nearby for greater convenience. The old, worn bed frames were replaced with new ones to offer better sleeping comfort, along with new quality mattresses. Amenities and Comfort Renovated fireplace for greater safety. Modernisation Goal The aim of these improvements was to offer visitors a more comfortable and safer refuge, while preserving the authentic and warm feel of the mountain experience.
