The place
Unstaffed hut located at 1800 m altitude above the Cirque de Gavarnie, facing the Brèche de Roland. It sits on the HRP and on the trail climbing up to the Refuge des Espuguettes, at the foot of the Astazous. The hut has a fireplace and 4 places. Not to be confused with the Chalet de Pailla (a staffed gîte located 15 minutes further down).
