Cabane de Lourdes

The place

Hut at 1955 m in the Bigorre (Hautes-Pyrénées, heart of the Pyrenees National Park). Access from the Ossoue dam car park via the well-marked GR10: crossing the stream downstream of the dam, about 30-40 min walk. The GR10 climbs gradually and levels off at around 1950 m, passing in front of the hut. Restored in 2006. Left section: 4 iron bunks, very clean; right section rather dirty. Old shower and sink no longer usable, no mattresses. Water from the stream (needs treating), no firewood nearby.
