Woody Island Cabin

The place

Public-use cabin managed by Alaska State Parks (Kodiak district) on Woody Island, near Kodiak. Official name Tangirnami ("at Woody Island" in Alutiiq). Capacity 6 people (4 bunks + loft), wood stove, food cache, outhouse, dogs allowed. Located on a strip of land between Long Lake and an exposed northeast-facing beach, about 100 yards from both the beach and the lake. Access by boat (5 miles from Kodiak harbor) or kayak/packraft (2 miles from Mission Beach).
