Basic two-bunk DOC hut located at 334 m in the Longwood Forest Conservation Area (Southland). Open access, free of charge. On the Te Araroa route: long-distance hikers must register and purchase the Te Araroa Trail Pass separately. During deer hunting season (March-April), wear high-visibility clothing and pack covers.
