Troubridge Hut

The place

A cabin built of Douglas fir logs, set in a hollow near Jocelyn Pond, below the summit of Mount Troubridge (1,195 m) along the Sunshine Coast Trail, near Powell River (British Columbia, Canada). An enclosed, secluded shelter designed for winter use: pellet stove, a ground-floor kitchen area, and an upstairs sleeping loft, accommodating roughly six to eight people depending on how cosy people are willing to get. Outdoor toilet, picnic table, food-storage locker, and outdoor fire pit. Water can be collected from the nearby Jocelyn Pond. A free, first-come-first-served shelter, part of the Sunshine Coast Trail network.
