The place
A mountaineering hut managed by the Vancouver section of the Alpine Club of Canada (ACC), at 1,154 m near Lovely Water Lake, in the Tantalus Range, British Columbia. A traditional base for the ascent of Tantalus and a stopover on the way to Jim Haberl Hut (6 h further on). Access by helicopter from Squamish, or by crossing the Squamish River followed by a steep climb from the road. Reservation with ACC Vancouver required.
