Steed Hut

The place

Wooden cabin built in 1995 by the Kootenay Mountaineering Club, located at 2100 m just south of the summit of Siwash Mountain, near a small tarn in the Bonnington Range (British Columbia). Coordinates 49°20'46" N, 117°26'52" W. Sleeping loft for four or more people (no foam mattresses), ground floor with table, benches and wood stove. Public booking at a rate of CAD 25 per person per night through the KMC. One of the huts on the Bonnington Traverse (ski touring).
