The place
Shelter at 2160 m in the Taillefer massif (Isère, Alps), north-west of the Petite Cabane (1875 m), about 400 m away from it. Precarious structure with no comfort: no mattress, blankets, stove, fireplace, latrines or water source within 100 m. Door that works, more or less. Trail passes in front, continuing due south towards the Refuge de Taillefer or the ridge.
