Rifugio Sanremo
The place
Rifugio Sanremo in the Ligurian Alps, Cuneo/Imperia border area (Piedmont/Liguria, Italy), at 2051 m altitude, close to the Mercantour National Park and the French border. CAI refuge used on the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri and the Franco-Italian high route circuits. Alpine zone with larches and subalpine meadows.

Situé le long de l'Alta Via dei Monti Liguri et du Sentiero Italia ; accessible en environ deux heures de marche par les itinéraires classiques les plus courts.

A bit of history
Construit en 1950 par le CAI de Sanremo, agrandi en 1984. En 2012, dédié à Agostino « Tino » Gauzzi, alpiniste et l'un des fondateurs de la section CAI de Sanremo (nom officiel : « Rifugio Sanremo – T. Gauzzi »).

Refuge non gardé (« non custodito ») — réservation en ligne obligatoire préalable. 25 lits en dortoir, rez-de-chaussée avec salle à manger/coin cuisine/sanitaires, énergie photovoltaïque, drap-sac obligatoire.
