The place

Staffed CAI Vercelli refuge at 2247 metres, set at the Alpe Vigne Superiore in the Alta Valsesia Nature Park, at the heart of the granite and glacial amphitheatre underlying the south face of Monte Rosa. Twelve beds in a dormitory; four extra beds in a winter room, closed for renovation. Open daily from 30 May to 6 September 2026, closed in winter. Wi-Fi, defibrillator and emergency phone.
