The place
Refugio del Barranco del Puerto (Pass Ravine Refuge) in the Bujaruelo valley, Sobrarbe comarca (Huesca, Aragón, Spain), at 1,610 m elevation, on the southern slope of the Bujaruelo pass (French border). Part of the continuous Sobrarbe cluster (batches 203-260). An unstaffed open refuge on the GR-11 route and the historic crossing to the Cirque de Gavarnie (France). An area of hook pines and limestone pastures.
