The place

Unstaffed shelter at 1850 m in the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park, Benasque valley (Huesca, Aragon, Spain), just before the Besurta terminal car park on the road from Llanos del Hospital. Entrance room with 3 benches and a fireplace, additional back room. La Besurta is one of the classic starting points for the north face route on the Aneto — mountaineers usually spend the night at the nearby Refugio de la Renclusa. Serves as an occasional shelter and stage for hikers in the Aneto-Maladeta area.
