Refuge Henri Raybaud
The place
A small shelter located below the Jardin Suspendu and the Pic de Bertagne, reached by a footpath from the trail linking the Refuge Paul Ruat to the Col de Bertagne. Basic facilities: fireplace, floor, table and benches, tools (saw, shovel). No beds — sleeping on the floor for a maximum of 2 to 3 people. The nearby Fontaine Paul Ruat has a low flow and may run dry. Supplies possible at Le Plan d'Aups (4 km away). Remember to top up the wood supply after your visit. Some noise disturbance possible (car and motorcycle training runs).
Getting there
L'abri se situe à 735 m, en contrebas du jardin suspendu et du pic de Bertagne, dans le secteur Sainte-Victoire/Artuby/Verdon, non loin du massif de la Sainte-Baume, sur la commune de Gémenos (Bouches-du-Rhône). On y accède par une sente partant du chemin reliant le refuge Paul Ruat au col de Bertagne.
The setting
Cette cabane non gardée, limitée à 2 ou 3 occupants, présente un sol en bois et ne dispose ni de matelas, ni de couvertures, ni de poêle. Une cheminée récemment rénovée, une table, un banc et des outils sont présents sur place. Une source proche, la Fontaine Paul Ruat, a un débit parfois faible, voire nul.
