The place

Unstaffed hut at 1484 m in the Swiss Prealps, Aigle district (canton of Vaud), within the Parc naturel régional Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut. Capacity 2 people, no key, closed with a simple outdoor latch. Working wood stove with a firewood store outside, well insulated and renovated in September 2020: sleeping spots, table, benches, 2 glasses and 1 candle. Access from the last (30 min) or second-to-last (45 min) left-hand bend on the road climbing to the Col de Chaude. Hike from Villeneuve: 7.6 km, 1119 m of elevation gain, 3h30 to 4h.
