Refuge de Tiolache du Milieu

The place

Unstaffed cabin at 1560 m in the Vercors massif (Isère, full biological reserve). Recently restored stone building, wood-panelled interior, table, benches and bunk beds. Access via a well-marked, heavily cairned trail from the GR 91, or via the central trail from Saint-Agnan, branching off at Tiolache basse to avoid the GR 91. Dogs (even on a leash), fire, camping, foraging, fossil collecting and littering are forbidden; bivouacking tolerated (tent pitched after 5pm, taken down before 9am). Periodic closure to the public from 5 January to 31 March 2026 announced by the ONF for a scientific study in the Vercors full biological reserve.
