The place
Staffed Italian refuge at 3585 m altitude on the Italian side of the Monte Rosa massif, on a plateau below the Colle del Felik (Aosta Valley, Pennine Alps). Inaugurated August 29, 1981. Maximum capacity 142 climbers (140 beds advertised). Key stage on the Tour des Sommets du Mont Rose and base for the ascent of the Lyskamm Occidentale, Castor, and the traverse to the Lyskamm Orientale.
