The place

Forest hut at 1290 m in the Vercors massif (Drôme), between the Plaine de la Darbounouse and La Chapelle-en-Vercors, accessible via a forest road near the GR. ONF cabin with 10 upstairs wooden sleeping places (no mattresses). Stove, two pots with utensils, cast-iron hotplate, work gloves, broken axe, small saw. No blankets, no latrines. An adjacent tank meant to collect rainwater from the roof, but with no gutter or pipe connecting it: it is unusable. Forest right nearby.
