Port William Hut

The place

Great Walk hut with 24 bunks at 2 m in Rakiura National Park (Stewart Island, Southland, NZ), on the Rakiura Track. Rates: peak season (Oct-Apr) NZ$44 adult / NZ$66 international; shoulder season (May-Jun) NZ$38; low season (Jul-Sep) NZ$31. Children at reduced rates, infants free. Backcountry Hut Passes/Tickets not accepted. Booking via the DOC online system (bookings.doc.govt.nz). Water must be boiled before use. Bring a sleeping bag, cooking equipment, torch, fire lighter.
