Plummer Hut
The place
Plummer Hut at 2666 m in the Strathcona regional district, Coast Mountains of British Columbia (coordinates 51.37°N 125.17°W, Canada). About 4 km southeast of Mount Tiedmann, on a ridge just west of Claw Peak. Built in July 1969 by the British Columbia Mountaineering Club (BCMC), named in honour of Paul Plummer, a club member who died in 1968. Himmelsbach metal-arch hut, 5 m × 3 m, 8 bunks, used by mountaineers.
Getting there
BCMC booking up to 6 months (180 days) ahead via their system. Very rugged alpine terrain: requires backcountry navigation skills, route-finding, and avalanche assessment and avoidance.
