The place

Sleeping places planned: 6 Places on mattress: 6 Water can be drawn from the Torrent de la Courbeille to the east or the Torrent du Gâ to the west. New dry toilets have been installed 25m from the refuge, fully equipped. Please take care of them. Firewood is available. - A wood-burning stove (wood provided) - Utensils (pots, plates, bowls, forks, etc.) - 1 table and chairs - 6 mattresses and wool blankets - Electricity (light and outlet) (300W max) 2024 rates: €10 per adult, €5 for under-12s (to be paid on site or sent). From the Chazelet car park, take on foot the wide track that will first lead you towards the three hamlets of Les Rivets (about 30 min). On reaching the Croix de Tuf, turn right towards the Bergerie des Orliers. Continue along the mountainside, cross a stream to pass near the "Chabannerie" sheepfold. Then, a few hundred meters further on, descend towards the refuge. In case of heavy snow cover, it is preferable to go back down a few hundred meters after the Orliers towards the Torrent du Gâ near its confluence with the Torrent de la Chabannerie.
