The place

Sleeping places planned: 11. Places with mattress: 11. Building dating from 1797, converted into a refuge in 1990. Accessible from mid-June to mid-October. 2025 dates: 23 June to 16 October. 9 bunk places + 2 emergency mattress places. Blankets. Sleeping-bag liner required. Water from the fountain, wood for the stove, solar lighting, dishes, fondue stoves with gel fuel, stock of sugar, salt, pepper, coffee, tea. Rates: Overnight: CHF 20.- (ages 4 to 17 CHF 11.-) Overnight CAS member: CHF 17.- (under 22 CHF 11.-) Overnight for guides, trainee guides and mountain leaders: free. Payment to the Swiss Alpine Club account, Diablerets Section, IBAN CH38 0900 0000 1000 1645 3. QR code for payment available at the refuge next to the guestbook. Coordinates: 566893.94 / 96590.04. Access via the Bisse du Trient starting from the Col de la Forclaz (about 3h, difficulty T3) or via the village of Trient (about 3h, difficulty T3). The footbridge over the Torrent des Grands, which had disappeared in 2024, was replaced in June 2025. Once across the Torrent des Grands, the path becomes much more technical with rope handrails present. CAS Diablerets section.
