The place

A cabin in the BC Recreation Sites & Trails network (REC2121) in Central Kootenay (British Columbia, Canada), managed by the Nelson Sno-Goers under a partnership agreement. Fee $10/person for overnight use, booking via their website. Access: from the community of Meadow Creek, take Meadow Creek Road north for 3.1 km, fork right onto Meadow Mountain Forest Service Road, cross the bridge, keep left at every junction up to km 9.4; Meadow Mountain is at 28.1 km, the cabin at 29 km. A popular snowmobiling site in spring (restrictions to coexist with a catskiing operation). Summer hiking with views of the Goat Range.
