Mcleod's Point Hut
The place
McLeod's Point Hut on the shore of Lake Athapapuskow, Cranberry Portage/Flin Flon area (northern Manitoba, Canada), at 297 m elevation, Precambrian Canadian Shield. A fishing cabin for walleye and pike within Grass River Provincial Park, part of the heritage of the Cree (Nēhiyawak) and of fur-trade voyageurs (Hudson's Bay Company, 18th-19th centuries). Boreal forest of black spruces, balsam firs, white birches, and aspens.
