Basic 4-bunk hunters' hut at 10 m in Rakiura National Park (Stewart Island, Southland, NZ), managed by the Rakiura Hunter Camp Trust. Multi-fuel stoves, rainwater tank (1,000 L), mattresses, benches, meat safe, toilet. No cooking equipment provided. Flat rate $30/person (max 10 days). Untreated water must be boiled (rats present on the island). Reservation required via the Rakiura National Park Visitor Centre. Built by volunteers from the NZ Deerstalkers' Association, funded by the Community Trust of Southland and the charitable trust.
