Magnesia Meadows Emergency Hut
The place
Red emergency shelter at ~1455 m in the Magnesia Meadows area, on the Howe Sound Crest Trail (Cypress Provincial Park, North Shore Mountains, British Columbia, Canada — not in the US Sierra as a default classification might suggest). A tiny hut: 3 to 4 people maximum, to be used only in an emergency (severe weather, accident) — do not rely on it as a bivouac plan. Rebuilt / rehabilitated in 2008. Located between Mt Harvey and Brunswick Mt. A visual marker of the Magnesia Meadows campsite location. A second emergency shelter exists at Brunswick Lake further along the HSCT.
