The place

Refuge on the Emparis plateau, municipality of Besse-en-Oisans (Isère, near the Écrins National Park), at 2240 m. Self-catered rental, gîte-style, capacity for 19 people in 3 dormitories (4, 7 and 8 beds). View of La Meije and Le Rateau. Alpine pastures with flora, marmots, mountain wildlife (eagles, vultures, falcons). Encounters with shepherds and their flocks from late July to September. Access to numerous mid- and high-mountain routes.
