The place

Ruined building at the place called "haut Latay", at 570 m altitude in the Sainte-Victoire - Artuby - Verdon massif (border of Bouches-du-Rhône / Var). The refuge on the edge of a forest track is locked. Vaulted room with a fireplace without a flue, intact walls, water nearby, no latrines or stove. Bivouacking permitted in the surrounding area, off the trails, from one hour before sunset to one hour after sunrise. Currently closed.
