Jasse du Gros Collet
The place
Sheep barn at the top of the Luberon, at 1040 m, on the GR 9 near the Gros Collet, slightly below the trail. Owned by the commune of Cabrières-d'Aigues — not open to the public, no key available at the town hall. Bivouacking is also banned in the Luberon massif (regional nature park). Kept listed for map consistency. Interior fittings: table, chair, stove in the fireplace and a sleeping corner upstairs.
Getting there
La cabane se trouve légèrement en contrebas de la piste principale, au sommet du massif du Luberon près du lieu-dit « Gros Collet », accessible depuis le GR9. Deux points d'eau existent à proximité (un aiguier et une source), mais aucun couchage n'est aménagé sur place.
The setting
L'abri est entouré de forêt, sur les hauteurs du Luberon en Vaucluse, à environ 1030-1040 m d'altitude.
