The place
Cabin ("hut") set at 318 m in the province of Manitoba (Canada), in the region of great lakes and boreal forests of the northwest (GPS coordinates 54.67 N, -101.70 W — Flin Flon / Athapapuskow Lake area). Located in the boreal backcountry of the Canadian Shield, a landscape of interconnected glacial lakes, black spruce forests, jack pines and paper birches. An exceptional setting typical of northern Manitoba: Precambrian bedrock among the oldest on the planet (3.5 billion years), iconic wildlife: moose, black bear, Canada lynx, gray wolf, beaver, common loon, osprey. A simple building whose exact nature (hunting cabin, canoe shelter, official Manitoba Parks refuge) remains to be clarified — generic name "Hut" with no geographic detail. Located at the margins of the great canoe routes and wilderness areas of the Canadian Shield. Conditions and access to be verified with Manitoba Parks provincial services.
