The place
Fiddlehead Landing Hut on the Sunshine Coast Trail, Powell River/Lund area (British Columbia, Canada), at 100 m elevation, on the SCT, 180 km (the longest canoe trail in British Columbia, 2007). Continuous Canada BC cluster (batches 200-332). Rustic hut maintained by PRPAWS (Powell River Parks and Wilderness Society, a volunteer group that maintains the entirely volunteer-run Sunshine Coast Trail), in a zone of Thuja plicata western red cedar and Pseudotsuga menziesii Douglas fir on the Pacific coast, heritage of the Tla'amin (a Salish people, Sliammon Nation, self-governing since 2016).
