The place
Deutscher Alpenverein (DAV Ebingen) section house at 641 m on the Schwäbische Alb (Baden-Württemberg). A self-catering hut (Selbstversorger) with no restaurant service. Ebingen section founded in 1952, the house inaugurated on 7-8 May 1955 and built between 1953 and 1955. Fire-safety upgrade works followed a 2013 inspection that found there was no second emergency exit. A traditional stopover for hikes on the Swabian Alb, distinct from the Schwäbischer Albverein, which has co-organised the hiking academy with the Schwarzwaldverein since 2001. Accessible to DAV members and by booking.
