Continuous Russia Far East cluster (batches 331-354). A forest landmark — a badly diseased, cankered tree used for marking by hunters/hikers (a traditional taiga cartographic practice), in a zone of subtropical Ussuri forests (very rich biodiversity, 12,500 plant species in RU, Amur tiger Panthera tigris altaica, 500 in RU + 40 in CN, the world's largest cat, up to 320 kg + Amur leopard Panthera pardus orientalis, 110 today, down to as few as 30 in the 1980s), Sikhote-Alin (UNESCO 2001, strict nature reserve, 4,000 km²), and Udege heritage (Nanai, 12,000 people, endangered Tungusic language, UNESCO CR status).
