Capanna Luigina Resegotti

The place

Hut at 3624 m at the Punta Tre Amici, on the watershed line between Alagna and Macugnaga (Monte Rosa massif, Italy). Built in 1927 by the Resegotti family in tribute to the mountaineer Luigina Resegotti, swept away by an avalanche in February of that same year. Wooden structure clad in copper, several renovations since its construction. Owned by the CAI Varallo section. Capacity of 20 beds in a shared dormitory with mattresses and blankets, living area with a wood stove, meltwater spring. Always open, unstaffed.
