From Courchons follow the alpine-pasture track toward the Montagne de l'Aup, the cabin is on the left as you climb, in a pretty wooded valley next to an ancient wayside shrine. Hunters' cabin, closed, but a large overhang provides excellent protection

The setting
Montagne de l'Aup, pretty wooded valley. On the left as you climb, next to an ancient wayside shrine. Access from Courchons via the alpine-pasture track (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, 43.91°N 6.49°E, 1540 m).
