The place

What a surprise! Bing clearly shows the new construction, whereas others show only grass and mostly rocks. There are, 300 m to the SSE, clear traces of a marga (sheepfold). We had more or less bivouacked in May 1999, under a "roof" of sheet metal, flattening out the scattered rubble underneath, right next to this marga. The Vautreuil vale, a kind of southern Mongolia, deserved a base... provided this cabin stays open (though hardly any crowds pass through here). Conclusion: 1) The large cabin is closed and reserved for shepherds during the summer grazing period. Only the lean-tos formed on two sides by the roof base reaching ground level offer temporary shelter. 2) In 2025, the small cabin is open, cluttered with materials (planks, scaffolding...). It's possible to clear a bit of space in case of absolute necessity (storm). Private
