An IPEV wintering-over cabin themed around penguins (king penguins, Aptenodytes patagonicus, 1 million pairs at Kerguelen, the world's largest colony; emperor penguins, Aptenodytes forsteri, not present at Kerguelen unlike in Antarctica). Area with the endemic Kerguelen cabbage, Pringlea antiscorbutica.
