COUNTRY ANOMALY: Kerguelen/TAAF is absent from the base data. IPEV cabin named after Jean-Yves Guillou (biologist, an overwintering staff member in the 1960s) or another namesake. A zone with the endemic Pringlea antiscorbutica and southern elephant seals, Mirounga leonina, 300,000 individuals — Kerguelen's 2nd-largest colony in the world.
