Cabane du Pesson

The place

Open cabin at 1500 m in the Comminges (Haute-Garonne), reached from the Hospice de France by the trail along the bottom of the valley to the refuge du Pesson in 15 minutes. Road open in summer only, closed in winter. Single room with 4 sleeping platforms almost entirely cluttered, a table, and a large kitchen area. The right-hand door is the one open to hikers (a sticky door, push with your shoulder). 10 to 12 spots, no mattresses. Fireplace, no water immediately nearby.
