Cabane du Bec de l'Aigle

The place

Small stone building at 1650 m in the Vanoise massif (Savoie, commune of Courchevel). Interior of about 2.5 × 3.5 m, a door that locks with an inside latch but doesn't stay shut on its own. Empty except for two planks resting on stones used as seats. Upper floor reached via a rustic ladder. Access from the Lac de la Rosière car park (Courchevel): trail along the lake heading east, then a steep climb to the right around 1 km at the midpoint of the lake. By public transport: bus from Moûtiers train station, La Tania / Courchevel line, Courchevel 1650 stop (Transdev Savoie).
