Cabane des Terrasses

The place

Former shepherd's hut at 1595 m in the Oisans (Isère). Average insulation: the only window isn't broken but the frame lets air through, the door is intact but closes fairly loosely. Stone floor (somewhat uneven), old sleeping platform with worn ends, a large rock serving as a seat. Roof apparently in good condition, makeshift vent/chimney roughly cut into the corrugated metal. Access from Le Périer or the Cascade de Confolens via the well-waymarked path to the Cabane de la Selle.
